I love how the whole report is based on "assumptions". Net benefit of keeping part P if non-fatal shocks went up by 80%, but net benefit of getting rid of part P if they only go up by 60%.....
They also talk about the number of jobs carried out by DIY'ers. Even taking into account the sales at DIY outlets, there is no way anyone can even guess at that figure.
Thanks for the link SKY

Which is why i rarely put any creedance on satistics and reports from bodies (in this case Government) that have vested interests, or in bodies that are trying to convince, or covering arse's!! lol!!

The only stats I'd like to see are the number of Part P notifications, year on year since it was introduced, and broken down per Scheme. Now that would make interesting viewing!

They could be pretty accurate, they don't have to guess, they could have done sample surveys.

Most surveys are based on samples and scaled up.

haha!! Surveys and statistics are even less reliable and more open to abuse than a Report!!:willy_nilly:

And how many DIY'ers, when surveyed, are going to admit to having done notifiable electrical work? Whenever I ask about an installation, and it's obvious the homeowner did it, I usually get "It must have been the previous owner".
