Testing again, my new boss seems to like me testing, even after the hassle I gave him with earth rods.
Two plastic enclosers, linked by two 32mm metal couplers.
The couplers have no banjos and are not bonded.
I'm saying that this needs improvement.

I will probably be tasked with doing the improving.

The cables passind through could mostly be easily disconnected to allow removal of one bush to put on a banjo, but on one of the couplers the cable run is of such a length and complexity it would take a whole day, and I can't see the facility having the power off for that long.

So does anyone know of a professional coating (NOT wrapping insulation tape!) which is easy to apply that I could coat the outside of the couplers with to make them not conductive.

What are you trying to achieve? The couplers being less than 150mm do not require earthing.

When you say less then 150mm is this in length? Any chance you could point to a reg about this one or explain further as i have often wandered about metal couplers on plastic enclosures not being earthed.

Dunc, I may have been mistaken about the 150mm think that applies to lengths of conduit used for protecting cables in the floor, can't find the reg at the mo, but the one above covers conduit couplers between plastic enclosures
