UK Out of interest how would you calculate R1+R2 on cables running from a control panel to a Star delta motor?

Out interest how would you calculate R1+R2 for a star delta motor . The contactors are in a control panel .

Same as you would on any R1+R2 circuit, obviously Motor Contactor & Motor connections.Ideally before you connect any cabling.
Being connected in CP this should be ok with normal tests required @ the Panel

Measure the length of the cable, establish the resistance per metre and calculate from there.

I can just imagine the OP trying to measure the cable length whilst it runs through roof voids, cable tray etc and then end up with having to disconnect, link out and measure it properly.

You are assuming that this is an existing installation.

I am assuming it is a planned installation, I've based this on the design stage being the only time I would normally calculate these values.
