Anyone know where I can get some pendant cable grips as I loathe having to replace a whole pendant when a couple of pence on a bit of plastic would suffice.

One the three plate and I can use a small cable tie but the lamp end they are too big.

And no it’s not on the floor, my phone was the wrong way round...

If the cord grips have snapped off then you need to replace the ceiling rose.
I don't think I've ever seen the red bit in a ceiling rose before, all the ones I've fitted just had the two pegs to wrap the cores round.

i just fit a cable tie in it's place. however, these grips are a recent innovation and before we relied on the flex being wrapped around the lugs in the rose base.

That's the bit I was after, they are a good idea as the strain is taken by the outer sheath but the plastic becomes brittle over time and breaks.

This is a common method in Spain, all the weight is taken on the hook/plastic restraint. A plastic "rose" slides up the cable to cover the hook and cable entry hole.
Ideal for heavier fittings.

These damn newfangled things from the 90's, such a pain! :D
