Ok hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I'm based in Norway and our work van has had a fault for a while regarding the heater not wokring. Now i've read alot about this on other forums including this one and there are so many theories as to what it could be...

The issue I have is everything is the opposite side (left ahnd drive van)

So I removed the dash and started to do some digging. I'm not the best at electrics but think of myself as very mechanically minded (mechanic as job)

With the dash removed I started doing some tests, first thing first I tested the fan had the ability to work which it does. I fed a 12v feed into it and it fired into life.
I then sourced the green relay everyone speaks about and did some tests. I have live in but no live out so simple test I joined the input and output wires together to eliminate the relay. Still nothing.

So onto the the speed control unit and circuit board with the little copper contacts. I took this apart and cleaned all the contacts very well and still nothing. Can anyone shed some light on this I don't just want to go on a buying spree and buy everything in this circuit as thats not my style. I'm sure one of you here will know know where there should be a live in and live out feed etc?

How does the sliding speed control work as it appears to take a live from ignition to either relay or fan. But the speed control unit doesn't appeatr to have a live in... any help would be appreciated as If we can't fix it correctly I'll end up having to runa live straight from ignition to a switch then have the fan on at a constant speed.

Cheers in advance

Thankyou. Let's someone knows the answer and or can give me advise to which direction to head in :)

Hi dude, there may be the odd person,on here, who has had similar issues, but you will have to give more information.

Any pics, and has the vehicle got climate control,air-con,etc

Also, you say the relay had live in and out,and bridging them did nothing...what was it feeding?
