i'm loooking for a 2 channel remote system with the receiver suitable to be mounted in a IP55 adaptable box. it's to switch some garden lights and a water feature. so not a heavy load. any thought. lads?

What sort of range do you need?

only need about 50m range. the actual distance is about 10m, but from inside the house, allowing for loss through walls, 50m should fly it.

There definitely is one that comes with an outside socket and remote switch ,did it about 4 years ago but can't remember the name I bought it from cef but don't think it was their brand

Not very helpful but you can get them

used byron remote sockets, but this application needs several lights fed from 1 controller.

That sounds like the blagdon unit - but its not really remote control.

I put in a 4 way remote control hard wired (no sockets) unit in a garden this year for garden lights, got it from Selco of all places. Works great, easy to install and idiot proof for the user. I'll try and get the make and model number for you Tel.

4 unwanted apostrophies in your sig. , paul.... tch, tch.

these lights are all 240V each has about 3m rubber flex factory fitted, so it'll be SWA into boxes and stuffing glands on the flexes. as the SWAs will need to enter the boxes at the vertical sides. i need to source heat shrink, adhesive lined shrouds.

Murdoch it cant be the same one then, the one I got was a package. I'll try and find the name from the receipt.
