Got a call on thursday asking if I could call around, light in one of the bedrooms not working. No prob's I thought, probibly something simple, wire come loose etc.

Got there and found nothing between L-N and 110v between L-E. The light is not at the end of the radial (has a loop in and out) but all the other lights are working fine?

Woman there say's she's had no work done apart from loft insulation layed about 3 weeks ago.

Had a quick look in the loft and the space is about 2 ft high with 12" of insulation and 30 years worth of collections up there. My first though was perhaps a JB somewhere that has been disturbed??

I'll be going back next week to spend some time and have a good look......Any thoughts??

Like you say ponty: possibly a joint that has been disturbed......Did you ask her if this problem started after the loft insulation went down?
