Just installed LED undermount lights in my kitchen. They’re on a circuit with just one outlet. I wired 7 circuits during the kitchen remodel. The microwave is on its own circuit, but when I use it, the undermount lights dim. What could be the cause of this? The lights are on an “approved” dimmer, according to the manual. Lights and microwave are on separate circuits on a 200A service.

Check the metal box that’s where your problem is

could be a poor connection anywhere and the load of the microwave is dragging the voltage down.

Poor connection in the undermount lights you think? I did use wire nuts to connect 14awg solid to 18awg stranded. I guess I can try soldering them....
Brian you shouldn’t have to solder the wires. With an 14 gage wire and a 18 gage wire should have an orange wire nut not yellow
