We're do I buy good quality masonry bits that stay sharp, 5 to 7 mm. Bought some from local builders merchants and electrical wholesalers but don't last. Anyone know of a good make

yeah see the ones in a bucket on the bottom shelf, there the ones to avoid XD

the ones you want are individually wrapped. quad tips are usually a lot higher quality.

i can't remember the name but picked up some makita nemesis drill bits cheap (sold under different brand but made in same factory)

I use the Dewalt Extreme 2 ones (or whatever they are actually called) (cut even through engineered brick with little or no problem) with the bosch Plus-3 a close second choice.
Screwfix usually keep them in stock.
The erbaurer and Titan ones are usual cheapie stuff, alright for soft stuff but not very good against any hard (engineered brick, dense concrete block, poured concrete etc)

I agree.

I have upped my intake of fish stuff - kippers or mackerel for brekkie nowadays.

Eating more cheese & other healthy stuff too by order of TB who being the daughter of a Pikey witch doctor knows about medical stuff. :confused5:

Hilti 4 spur , twice the price of a Bosch bit but lasts 4 times as long!!
