2391 Revision

Hi all this is my first post but i have been reading the forum for about 4 weeks.

I am due to sit my 2391 exam on the 9th of august, I have noticed and read the other 2391 threads and questions and was just after some input and advice to do with revision.
So far i have been on a three week revision course at a local college read Guidance note 3 about 8 times completed the exam success book and read Practical Guide to Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations and read 17th edition IEE wiring regulations inspection testing certification and watched a silly amount of learning lounge videos roughly been revising for around 2-4 hours a night (hopefully enough).
So my question is are there any other books which be beneficial to read or any sites with relevant information worth reading?

No mate nothing at all. You can read and read and read all you want, but the only book worth its salt for this course is GN3. I know you have read it over and over, but read it again. Make sure you know all the test instrument specifications, make sure you know all the correct terminology, make sure you know the test procedures backwards , inside out and upside down. Makes sure you know which field is on which form, and which form is for which sort of work. Get some practice in as well, it all starts to fit when you have a good practical knowledge. I teach the 2394 and 2395, i can recite GN3 just about, but there is always something new i learn every time i look at it, so like me you may think that you know a lot, but there is always something that gets missed.

Gs 38 and was included in the course I did and a drawing of the leads was required in the exam .

I found this link useful Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Verification of Electrical Installations | Construction and Building | Electrical installation | City & Guilds click on chief examiners report and it tells you what people were falling down on in the past 2391 exams.

Thanks for your input guys I have had a look the examiners reports they are very useful and i will have a good read of the GS38.
I will also keep reading guidance note 3 until my eyes bleed haha
