Can anyone tell me how best to protect a sub mtr that will require a 3 phase and N ?

Is a 3 pole breaker the best option ?

I only need 6amp protection for the power to the mtr.

Whats the best price for the kit etc ?

Assuming its a sub main that requires 6A?

Why not 3 phase 6A MCB?

If so, it depends a little on what make of DB you are fitting it in.

Am looking at taking it from a local db from each phase on the live side and to a new enclosure near the sub mtr as i have to fit cts etc.

Any ideas ?

Yes, I'm installing a sub Mtr on the tails of the incoming using (clamp on ct's) and the mtr has to have a 3 phase and N supply.

I'm told that i can get my 3 phase from any point as long as i got protection for the mtr etc.

So i would like to know the best way !

Any spare triple pole way in the DB will be fine. Fit a 6A breaker to feed the CT meter, wire in the CT's to the meter and jobs a good un.
