Discuss any English electricians in Portugal or Lisbon? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

You'll need to check out Portugal's requirements for trainee's working in the industry BEFORE you go. Without a doubt you'll need to gain some form of registration and undertake their equivalent courses of UK qualifications, if you don't already hold any internationally recognised quals' that can be converted.... One things for sure there is no such thing as 5 Week courses and you're away, like you have in the UK...

Only tip I have is stay out in the sticks north of Porto, the beer is wonderful and dirt cheap, the people gracious and respectful, and the port .... Well it will be just a little more than a bottle of evian!

oh and eat sardines and garlic and laugh alot and you might reach 100 in good fettle

There will be electricians,in Portugal and Lisbon......But they are either drunk,in a foam bar....or arguing with the missus on a beach :icon12:

Thanks for the reply guys. I have my level 2-3 and 17th edition so would be hoping to have that transfered over. Surely there must be some english electricians there who do a decent job

I love the title... If you're Scottish or Welsh then he's not interested!

The 17th won't be worth anything, but your level 3 will be. So why are you labeling yourself as a trainee/mate??
