Chaps,

How much is the lowest you have paid for a 20mm galve conduit per length ? or pack ?

Your stirring the mire again E54!

As to the cost I haven’t a clue, if I needed it a trip to stores and I’d walk away with 200m, total cost my signature on a piece of paper. Never had to buy it, but I will say I prefer black japanned every time!

You haven't got any replies mate, because there's not many modern electricians use it, or know how to use it, ...let alone bend it!! lol!!! Oooops :38:

Step away from the spoon!

On a serious note, I don't know why it's so unpopular now. It does make sense cost wise in a lot of situations, and in the right situation no other form of cable installation looks better IMHO. I don't mean the dog's breakfast that you see hanging off the wall in the likes of B&Q. Some of the work done in the canalside warehouses that have been converted to flats but retained the 'industrial' look is top drawer.

I always like the look of plain Galv above Japanned. One of the few areas on installation work where form and function are equal.

Well according to many of the big contracting companies conduit is monkey work ...........................

Maybe, but i bet they still have to pay top dollar to the fabrication teams, that are mostly not even electricians, I know they used too. Those teams used travel the country from one big project to the next, and were all on top electrician's rates. Now those guy's could really make an installation look the dog's wanglers, ...Just don't ask them to wire it!! lol!!
