Covering letter help

Hi there

my name is adam and I am just coming out of my time and trying to be prepared in case I don't get kept on. I have a cv but I'm struggling with the covering letter mainly the way I go about wording it but any help,or advice would be great fully appreciated.

You have to write each letter to suit the company you are writing to.

Hi tony thank you for the reply pal. Would you you would go down the lines of researching the company and try to mention the fields they work in e.g petro chemical sites. Every time I write something I read it back and seems like I'm waffling on. Lol

Something like that Adam, short and to the point and not much cack in there. It's the brilliance of your experience shown on your CV that'll get you the gig but as Tony said, each letter should be tailored to the job and company you're writing to.

I always thought it was the other way around.

Faithfully if you don't know the name (Dear Sir) and Sincerely if you do.
