Anyone come across one of these? Are these a c3 on eicr?

i stand corrected. looks like it may be a 500mA RCD.
 
Looks like it's 300mA.
 
can't make out from the pic if it says 0.3A or 0.5A.
 
you must have been to specsavers. i thought it was 0.5, but not clear enough to be sure.
 
As defined by 14th edition of wiring regs it is a current operated earth leakage circuit breaker [now known as an rcd] as opposed to a voltage operated earth leakage circuit breaker which are no longer permitted since the 15th edition. It is rated at 500ma.
 
A voltage operated earth leakage circuit breaker is generally coloured black and are slimmer than an current operated earth leakage circuit breaker.

A voelcb will also have 2 x earth wires connected to it (normally the earth terminals are on the bottom face in the middle), 1 x from the consumer unit and 1 x going to the earth rod, whereas an current operated elcb will not have any earths connected to it.
