since I fitted six mains downlighters after two weeks one blown then the second I then replaced the blown lights and it happened again. What could be the cause for this nuisance?

cheap lamps . another thing, if you fit a rotary dimmer ( the ones where they switch on at minimum sertting ) will last longer. use a 700watt dimmer
