Had to fit water bonding cable today, out through wall along exterior at about 7ft high and back into consumer unit area.
is the 10mm cable fine unprotected at that height or do I have to enclose it. Also, if it is fine up there, then does anyone know of any clips from CEF that are strong enough to go in the wall as it is hard, bent quite a few clip nails trying today. Failing that any 10mm screw in clips out there.

Totally forgot about pclips
brain fade
it is a rendered wall with big brick patten, struggle to get the nails half way in
will go the p clip route tomorrow.

got to be the mortar everytime unless the brick has a small hole and you know the clip is going in. :smug:

Fannying about drilling to fix the p clips, nah, i'd of ran in some PVC conduit, would of been do in the time it takes to fix the P clips

Nail plugs or pin plugs. Little 'mini' wall plugs, drill hole (5mm bit x 20mm deep), insert plug then just use normal cable clip.
Once used you will never be without them!

I agree, very useful work every time.

They're life savers when the mortar runs are crap and you can't get clips in any other way.

They were fab last month when running cable across a concrete garage wall..!!

Would this be any use to you?
