Hi I wonder if anyone can help, I need to install a socket outside for my lazy spa, I have a plug socket which is a spur off the ring, i want to remove the socket and replace with a fused spur, from the fused spur I intend to fit a twin socket followed by another twin socket outside. The second twin socket will be fitted using swa cable with an RCD socket. Is this okay?

if the socket circuit is already RCD protected, youdon't want to be adding another one. if it isn't, then both outdoor sockets will need to have RCD protection added. lazy Spa comes with a 10mA RCD built into it's lead.

Hi thanks yes the consumer unit is RCD protected, the one socket will be inside and only used to run a set of LED lights, the ring is the downstairs ring which is separate from the kitchen and utility which has the high consuming items.
