Anyone had any knowledge of this tester...i had mine about two years and found it great , then one day i noticed ze came out 0.8 ohms everytime.
All other tests work fine including zs..but anytime i read ze it reported 0.8..rang the company and basically they did not know why but of course offered to check it at cost.
But what i also found is if i set up a socket on a lead for ze and plug the unit into the socket it then reads a acceptable ze..crazy...anyone ever come across this with the machine ?

how can you measure Ze at a socket?

you get a socket with a small lead , you disconnected main earth and connect it to the socket earth , you then connect the phase and neutral to the incoming main tails and plug the tester into the socket...its exactly the same but without leads....any electrician could work that out surely

That would be Zs, not Ze.
