Finding apprenticeships for over 25s

Hi all I was wondering if anyone on here over the age of 25 had successfully secured anapprenticeship into the electrical trade and if so how did they go about it, the reason I ask is that I am 31 and looking to get into the electrical trade I would much prefer to do an apprenticeship than just sit a full time course... if any perspective employers are reading this I am based in the Leicester area and would work very hard for peanuts if it means I could get into the electrical trade

Good luck, i dont think it is the best time to be coming into the industry though.

guy i work with started his apprenticeship in his 40s so its not unheard of being over 25, when i strted college most of the boys were over 30 aswell good luck
