My Local college has just started teaching the 2394/5 and you can take the exam there :) saves me a journey.

But I'm going to miss the deadline to enroll due to not having my certificates yet :/
Why do you need your certificates to enrol?

One of the entry requirements is: you must hold a current Level 3 Full Electricial Installation and current Wiring Regulations Qualifications.

I haven't been issued them due to my logbooks still being worked on and marked.

When I completed my AM2 they advised me that it would be cheaper and better to take the AAC as opposed to the 2394/5 due to the cost of taking those.

It's £396 INC VAT for the ACC. but I am unsure if with the ACC, I'm allowed to test other people's work.

Are there any other benefits in doing the 2394/5 compared with the ACC?
I think you will find most companies prefer city & guilds qualifications and so the 2394/5 is your best bet for enployability

If you have 2397 level 3 then 2394 is covered by that exam and you only need to do 2395.

When I complete my logbooks, I will have:

C&G 2357 Electro Technical Technology Level 3
C&G 2397
Installing, Testing and Ensuring Compliance of Electrical Installation Work in Dwellings (Initial Verification) Level 3
C&G 2382 Requirements for electrical installations (17th Edition) Level 3

I already have the C&G 2330 Level 2 from my first year in college.

So Essentially, once my apprenticeship is complete I am qualified to test my own work, but not other peoples. To test other peoples, I need the 2395 ??

2394 is initial and fundamental inspecting and testing and 2395 is periodic inspecting and testing.

I got a feeling that the course has been updated and they no longer include the 2397, and include the 2394 instead. Not sure until I ask my college.

So how do you interpret that. I was told when doing the 2397 2394 Initial verification was covered. And only did the 2395

Depends if you've completed the old units or new units. If old then you also have to complete some units from the new assessment......I think o_O

I emailed my tutor and he got back to me so fast :):):)

I get the 2394 with my course not the 2397.

The lady at the college who told me 2397 got it wrong.

Well as I say the tutor was quite definite that 2394 was covered. I dont really know what is old or new though tbh.
