Evening,

Just a quick one ...

Been testing a block of flats, and i've noticed the Communal CU for the hallway lights, fire alarms ect.. is fed from a MCB from Flat 1 - Now i normally wouldn't have an issue with this in certain situations, but, the client in this flat pays for his electricity - he isn't all in.

I've explained to the landlord that he's paying for all the communal area via his meter, to which the landlord has tried to play stupid, which i know he isn't.

Where do i stand with this? Do i send a letter to the tennant ? Can feel a can of worms opening

Cheers

On the EICR for flat 1 - simply state that this supplies the communal CU..... simples

Its not up to you to fix it....

Edit: Who has commissioned the EICR's?

I understand that Clive, i guess it was just the human inside me thinking this is wrong and making more of it then maybe should be.

If i was said tennant, with no clue about electrics, i wouldn't be happy like. But hey ho!

The landlord has commissioned.

Cheers
