Hi I've checked other posts but not quite the same, if the kitchen four light spot bar hasn't been on for a few hours it flickers for two minutes then settles down, whereas if I turn the other kitchen light on they stop flickering straight away. At the same time the Lounge light will flicker twice then is ok. I have changed bulbs from 50w to 35w. A replacement fitting is £18 if It's easier to swap the whole unit is it easy to do? Thanks Andy

Could be a number of things. Is there a dimmer in the circuit? What type of lamps are they presumably halogen if they are 35w? Could even be a loose connection, does it flicker when someone walks on the floor above it?

Thanks no dimmers, yes replaced the set of halogen gu10 bulbs. Doesn't flicker when walking upstairs only when turn on after being off afew hours. If turn straight back on after being on for a while are fine.

could be a connection slightly loose somewhere on the circuit, when cold it contracts and makes poor contact. as it warms it expands and makes a better contact. might be the time to convert to LEDs. after checking out the circuit.

p.s. Warrington is on my patch.
