hey all

im 21 made some poor education choices when i was younger and found my real talent in electronics and electrical instillation.

i went to Stafford college to study City and Guilds 2330 electrical instillation which i recently passed first time round that includes all module theory exams and all practical exams :) not blowing my own trumpet or anything, i have also walked away with a NVQ level 2 in electronic engineering :)

i wish to do my level 3 the start of September as a one day a week course at Stafford college along with this course my college does the full 17th edition course so i will walk out with the most recent regs and with my level 3 :D

my question is what do i do with my self now?
i work part time 7-3 of a sat and sun at a petrol station :( i cannot wait to leave :p

i really want a job within the electrical field that i will be competent at where i can gain recognized experience the problem is simple i need a place that will take me on 4 days a week and give me a day spare to study at Stafford college.

can any one give help or enlighten me on what i should do as i really want to try to avoid finishing my level 3 and struggling to walk in to a job that i will be competent at.

i have transport and a full UK driving license that iv held for 4 years

i wouldnt say im advertising my self for a job here but i am after some sort of guidance.

thanking you kindly

Josh a bright new spark :p

Hi Josh and welcome to the forums.:D

Times is hard right now, just look in the "Electricians Unite" forum even fully qualified time served sparks with years under their belts are struggling.

Try writing to every spark in your yellow pages, visiting offices, phoning round e-mailing etc, and when you've gone through the book start again.

It's a bad time for all right now.:(

P.S please dont post the same thread more than once.;)

Cheers.:)

no worrys it felt a bit cheeky posting twice wast sure if it was correct section though

ihave spoke to several companies and they just are not taking people on at the min

iv got to the point where i have asked companies to take me on for free but to pay my insurance and still no joy!
