Hello from the oldest trainee EVER!

Hello, 60 years young and did 17th three months ago and testing next week.
Spent a few years installing mines electrics for Caledonian mining (anyone remember them??), installed stuff under building control inspection and now doing domestic stuff and awaiting accreditation inspection in January. Any tips from all you lovely Guys and Girls?

Hi with Niceic inspector who wants to look at my work and then issue (or not) accreditation

A lot less technical than intrinsic safety, flameproof enclosures or even Ward Leonard drives

You show him all the often useless pieces of paper like waste policy and the like along with important must haves like insurances,drink lots of tea and a quick nose at the jobs you display,he will then ask very basic testing procedures

No sooner when he realises you are not an electrical imbecile, he will pat you on the head and go his merry way

make Sure you have all paper work up to scratch and books and test kit and collaboration cert ladders van biscuits flask of tea .
once you pass you will join a band of brothers a diddy man.

laid up with a bad cold. used a whole bog roll last night just blowing snotbox. 'er indoors ain't much help. "should have had your flu jab. " a bottle of JD would be beneficial at this time.
