should you thought about the before the tank was in the basement.Anyone ever installed an earth rod horizontally in a basement?
DB is in basement mounted on a wall that i could drill and hammer rod into "ground".
I agree, a 10mm² rod gets pretty bendy. A 10mm dia rod is much better....these 3 ft 10 mm2 rods are a complete farce.
I’ve heard that before somewhere!I agree, a 10mm² rod gets pretty bendy. A 10mm dia rod is much better.
Actually, if you check the research, the rod diameter makes little difference to the Ra. The length is much more important.
You channelling Eng54 there?!? I think the approved terminology is 3/8 twig, though...Don't stick a twig in, whack a decent size rod straight through the floor and if needed screw another on top lol, these 3 ft 10 mm2 rods are a complete farce.
No he is channelling meYou channelling Eng54 there?!? I think the approved terminology is 3/8 twig, though...
On a serious reply to you, I completely forgot about ENG, anyone here know what has happened to him?You channelling Eng54 there?!? I think the approved terminology is 3/8 twig, though...
The point is the slightly thicker rods have the thread on the end, and it is easy to screw another on to it and go even deeper, these 3 ft things are pretty crap, obviously in good ground they will do the job, I never used them myself, but the ground around here does have a lot of stones in it and they just struggle and are pretty pointless.I agree, a 10mm² rod gets pretty bendy. Indeed. If you're going to hammer a rod into the ground, you might as well use something you can extend if necessary. The point is the slightly thicker rods have the thread on the end, and it is easy to screw another on to it and go even deeper, these 3 ft things are pretty crap, obviously in good ground they will do the job, I never used them myself, but the ground around here does have a lot of stones in it and they just struggle and are pretty pointless.
I don't; but I think that the fact that he is MIA is a net loss to the 'board'!On a serious reply to you, I completely forgot about ENG, anyone here know what has happened to him?
