I’m not working on this… not yet anyway, but can someone tell me why there’s a fuse or a link on the earth here?

The green wire is bonded to the metal mainswitch and the installation is metal conduit.

I don’t know if the bare wire is an incoming earth off the cable, going out to a rod or linked to the lightning conductors.

It was just having a removable cut out like this which means very easy to disconnect and leave something not earthed/bonded.
It’s not even sealed.

Or is it just a type of connection block I’ve not seen before

It looks like just a 100a service block so shouldn't have a fuse in it!
I await to be proven wrong!!

It could just have a link in it and been used as a connector - I wouldn't worry too much about the chances of disconnection as it's no different to a proper MET bar with a removable link. However it's an odd setup as it's presenting as TNS but claims by the label on the head (and the CNE link terminal on the side) to be PME!

I thought it was just a head with a link, rather than a fuse. Just strange that it can be so easy to pull it out.
Different if it was a lid which needed to be removed to access the connector screws like any other Henley type 100A block.

I’ll have a good look next time I’m there…
