There is no such thing as magic!... The Tooth Fairy assured me of this as she skimped me for 50p because I put 2 teeth instead of 1 under the pillow....:dunce2:

Whiska sharks look good. Gel pre done. Alot of premix ones contain cyanide. These are completely non toxic.

also (may or not be useful) joint is re openable.

they look quite good actually and a little bit more cost wise but hey ho

But if it's filled with sticky blue carp then there's no condensation or corrosion in there to worry about.

I've done it where access is a bit of a buggerance and I don't want any chance of things going wrong.

Yes, it is expensive but one of the easiest things to ensure a waterproof connection.
There are other ways of doing it but this is the simplest bar pratley boxes.

There are two sorts of Magic Gel, the expensive sort that you can use once - though it is re-enterable should you need, and the very expensive sort that can be reused, so after re-entering, it will cross-link again and reform a waterproof barrier. I think the second type is called Magic Power Gel.

I bought two large tubs of it. It was expensive, but it made a beautiful pair of "Going out" ----- for my missus, and,as SJD has alluded to,it is re-enterable

I changed some old par 38 garden spots for LED floods a couple of years ago and recently had to change an LED flood that had packed up, as they were from LED hut no quibble replacement,I had used magic gel to seal connections originally and was pleased to see they still looked exactly the same as the day I sealed them in. The magic gel pulled out easily I for one am well impressed with it.
