Are there jobs out there? I've been employed at the same company for over 6 years now installing flood lights, mainly, but have experience in some domestic and commercial. I'm looking to broaden my experience and fancy a change as I feel in a rut, doing the same thing every day of every week. It's only a small firm I work for so I'd like to have the opportunity of working my way higher up in a firm. Are company's taking on? I've been warned not to get my hopes up as its January and everyone's in recession.
Do I let my boss know I'm looking and risk tension and not getting a new job or wait until work picks up?
