Now that's nice!
I like the way they have used the earth connection literally, just bury it in the earth!
And this worked without problems?

Yes, the Zdb was 640 ohms- no RCD - all A OK !

You would have thought that they would have at least wrapped it in a carrier bag :confused5:
Yes the famous IP68 carrier bag, works wonderfully in so many cases!

Your average bag is only IP44, so normally you need to double bag.

Did balde unearth that joint as in the pic?

It was inside a bit of plastic 1.5 inch pipe

The way the connectors are staggered means it was most likely an 'electrician' that did it, not a DIY'er. :(

When are you guys going to let Tony back in the Arms?
He is after all one of the superior members of this forum!

sweet.... i like teh fact they never used electricians tape to hold it together...!

Every one knows you are not allowed to use tape nowadays, got to do it properly!

So if you use 2 IP44 bags does it really = IP88

This is acceptable but to meet new EU reg's one bag has to be black and one yellow so to act as a warning if accidently unearthed, and also the joint isnt allowed within 300mm of a fish pond... just reading your posts and cant believe no-one mentioned these important points.

So Morrisons or Asda bags are not going to cut the mustard then despite their superior IP rating. Dammit I'll now have to spend tomorrow digging out that flex joint I buried last week. I did tape it up with masking tape mind you so it'll probably be ok I guess.
