Discuss Pricing For EICR in the Periodic Inspection Reporting & Certification area at ElectriciansForums.net

I notice that a major energy company is offering the EICR for Landlords. It's priced at £129. It's saying price varies depending on bedroom number and location, and it's also stating that they test a sample of circuits.

1. Isn't this too cheap, considering the work involved?
2. Should they really be sampling a house? Surely they should test and inspect the whole installation if it's that small?

I've not settled on my pricing yet, but I'm not sure I could make money at that price point and do the job properly.

Not a bad rule of thumb, a minimum of 6 circuits I assume? £120 minimum price (seems to be how the company above have priced it).

Can't go wrong with an hourly rate, which could possibly be worked out by circuit numbers, £120 has got to be the minimum I'd say.

Was just chatting in the other thread there regarding taking a full day for the EICR in order to do it right. I couldn't make money at £120 for a full shift (it'd be less hassle just working for someone).
