Yes it is, head's done in trying to get a grip of handover documentation. thanks for that, don't suppose you know the answer to the original question do you?

Surely your calc is for heating systems v2 / R equals heat output, not really tried this method on PV so cant say it wont work

Sorry if i have been unclear on this. I am writing up a handover pack for the PV system i have installed on my roof, which is to be assessed by the MCS inspector shortly. Please can any one guide me as to what i should be putting in the section "Procedures for verifying correct system operation"

there is sticky topics with downloads to help you reference PV schematic and system efficiency calcs, a snapshot for system efficiency would be irradiance, voltage and amps both AC and DC, one of the spreadsheets downloadable from this forum that I have added in a sticky topic will give you performance results.

Handover pack consists of, system readings as above, schematic of system, guidance of usage in plain english, warranties, emergency contact details, electrical cert, MCS cert (to follow if inspection), safe decommissioning instructions.

The two / three things you need are listed in the stickys, also good to use design software such as PVsol to provide backup to your designs along with inverter manufacturer software.
