Hi all
I will get straight to the point ,Being in the electrical game for 31 years now and fed up with filling in test sheets,
I am currently designing an EICR for use on the iPad.(more test sheets to follow.)
These are somewhat different from other software packages as the the test sheet scrolls from page 1 to page x on the iPad, as it would look in a pdf.
There are no fancy frills with autofill of max Zs (at the moment ) but the test sheet has drop down boxes for cable size-cpc size-type-method-mcb size type and rating + other commonly used items
Any data entered on the data base will be fully searchable

Test sheets can be printed,or emailed to the client via pdf format ( so long as the iPad has wifi connection or a personal hotspot with the iPhone).
The programme is written in filemaker,so in order to use this app you will have to download filemaker go12 from the app store (free app ).
At the moment the sheet is limited to a 24way distribution board.
The software is easy to use ( just like filling in a test sheet )and a demo version will be available shortly

Presumably you're going to be selling this (and fair play to you if you are) but a lot of us have done this already for our own purposes mate. Probably not as advanced as yours but if you're wanting to flog it you'd better make sure that it's all singing, all dancing.
Please don't take that as me trying to pee on your fireworks mate

Looks ok, but as I don't have an iPad and will probably never have one at work i'll stick to my cert software.

PIR form is built for EICRs anyway

But all singing all dancing costs all dollars
this is a basic fully searchable database which is going to be cheep for the masses ( with iPads )
no other software has a scrollable interface which looks like a test sheet, i am not a software programmer but a full scope accredited
sparks ( got am tech , easy cert ,and others )
may be a cheep option for those who need a simpler option

don't own an ipad and won't . only use android. it is so easy to write the test results down and have Elecsa certs as pdf so use online pdf writer for free , send to customer in email

I think you are missing a trick here. Those sparks who want a cheap and easy solution are not the sort to buy ipads. Trev is right, you need to give it whistles and bells and sell at a premium price. Lets face it, a spark that spends 4 or 5 ton on something to write certs on isn't going to demand software that costs less than a pint or two.

That costs nowt to download with a free trial then £40 something for a years subscription.
It's very intuitive and let's me do paper work in bed!!!

^^^ yes, thats it PIR Form is what i use.

For what it costs each year, its more than makes back in the time its must save when completing electrical installation reports

No, my spelling is correct... I have a life outside work... You would have to pay my travelling expenses...

Most people are going off apple and moving to android, Samsung is a better make than apple now. If you are going to do this seriously, I would make an android version too.
Apple is 'snobby' and incompatible with other brands. I know a few people that have replace apple with android recently. My iPad is just gathering dust now in the bathroom.
