I was asked to wire up a boiler / pump / valve / 2 channel 7 day programmer / frost stat (no room stat) today
"connect the boiler up, its a Y plan"
However it has caused me some confusion.

The valve has the following connections over 2 seperate flexes
On one flex- blue (neutral) brown (clockwise) black (counter clockwise) (brown/black might be the other way around I don't have it with me)
On another flex, an orange, red and white cores, which are C, NC and NO.

(sorry, I can't remember the exact connections colours but basically, N, CW, CCW, C, NC, NO)

How do I implement this valve into the system? Am I missing something?
I'm fine following a diagram- if there was one, but I don't seem to be able to figure this out!

If it made any odds, the pump is fed via the boiler which has an overrun

It's not a standard y plan system then!
First I'd check with the plumbers to make sure they intended it to be a non standard valve and if they did then get them to tell you how they want it to operate.

My first instinct is that they have got the wrong valve.

It turns out it wasn't just the wrong valve, it was a mess.
They're changing some pipework tomorrow.
No wonder I couldn't figure it out!

The plumbers were adamant they had it right when they gave me the gear. As I don't have very much experience with anything other than bog standard Y/S plans I presmued they had done it right and it was me that was mistaken............
Hence asking on this forum.
