Hi

im interested to hear peoples thoughts on this possibility. I have a remote controlled plug socket which interviens between a wall socket and an appliance which simply turns on an off via a remote. I was wondering if there was a way to connect this to a light to allow this to be controlled by the remote.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience doing this or has any ideas or advice. Ideally i would connect this parralel to the already existing light switch.

Tbanks,

That lamp holder remote control looks quite cool Marvo. I'm curious as to how it works with a tv remote. If the lamp has a shade that covers the sensor does it still work. You know what tv remotes are like... :)

I'm not sure if it's any good TBH, it was just an illustration of the type of product I pulled from the first UK website I came across. From experience these types of gimmicky products are often a bit shakey but it's only 10 quid so it might be worth a punt if it's from a reputable supplier and it looks like it will do the job the OP was requesting.
