xbox 360 to pc

has anyone had problems linking xbox 360 to a windows pc. ive got mine connected all the way to each other with ethernet cable but they won't go through the full process of connecting to each other.

I had trouble with mine, can't remember exactly what I done but I changed something in network settings for it to work. Try google for a guide it should explain all.

What are you trying to do? Trying to connect it to the web using your pc? When i had an xbox, I got mine connected for £1 ,ethernet cable from poundland, no £40 adapter or 200m of cable required ;-)

Like stranded said, what are you trying to do?
Using the Ethernet cable instead of buying that wireless adaptor is the better and cheaper option for the xbox!
Easier going with a PS3 to be honest!

ive got xbox and windows vista pc both hard wired to router. im trying to link pc to xbox or an extender as the pc calls it but the pc wont complete the extender process,any ideas?

dont think its a firewall problem.

So you are trying this:

Xbox -> (CABLE) -> PC -> (CABLE) -> Router?

If thats what your trying you need to do something called a network bridge. Ill find a link now...
