Good afternoon to The Forum. Opinion welcome on this problem. Tenant reports pump never
goes off ( the pump etc is in their bedroom) when C/H off : HW on has been selected. The
cyl stat was at 60C, and the cylinder itself had been changed last couple of years. I checked
all the wiring against a Y plan diagram; was correct, and changed the old Honeywell cyl stat
for a new Honeywell. I cut the hole in the insulation better so the cyl sat flush, and fiddled
with some curtain wire and hooks. I can set the cyl stat for 45 C and after a time the pump
will stop. I then upped it to 55 C but pump still working 20 mins later and counting.
My question, is 55 C and above never attained because of heat loss ( due to ? ) and so
pump stays on. Thank you. Dean.
