Hi Guys....

Another ASHP coming up for us to hook up.... slowly getting my head round all the different variations of wiring them !

The next one is a full Bosch system 'compress 7000i.'

Client seems to have paid for some helpful technical (Alto Energy) back up on this project for queries (which better than on some others.)

Looking through through schematics couldn't see where the switched live back from UFH terminates on to 🤔

This is the reply I had back from technical :

"The heat pump does not received a switch live or call for heat from the heating systems, the heat pump just monitors the temperature of the buffer tank which brings the heat pump on."

Haven't queried it any further yet, just seeing if anyone else has had similar set up yet ?
I'm curious to how the end user would control the temperature themselves in each area.

Be interested to see what you think, maybe I'm missing something as not too sure how buffer tank works.

Its probably easier than you think. The ASHP has its own controller which would need to be set by the installer for the customer specific set up. Then the ASHP's call for heat comes from a temp sensor installed in the buffer tank. UFH will have its own pump which simply draws off the buffer tank. Thermostat set by customer controls UFH pump.
In terms of wiring, ASHP controls etc and buffer tank tend to be close by but UFH manifolds can be scattered all over.
I would concentrate and understanding all the zones, where the thermostats are going, where the UFH manifolds are going, is it single pump for all manifolds or is it single pump and local pump as you will need wiring from each manifold back to a single pump so that when there is no call for heat anywhere the single pump can shut on and off if all manifolds are up to temp
