Looks like the one the guy who mentored me through my apprenticeship had,
He had all kinds of stuff like that was gonna give me when he retired but he forgot and I felt rude to ask as he has given me everything he knew already

I've got one of those old wiggington meters if anybody is interested, don't want a lot for it, just want it to go to someone that used to use them and would appreciate it...PM me

How come this is such a gem for fault finding tel?

beacause. 1. small and compact. easier than farting about with MFT up a ladder or confined space.2. seeing that needle move and not fart about gives a good indication of how severe the fault is. 3. batteries last for months. 4. not a great loss if you drop it ( but it will survive a lot more rough treatment than a MFT.

I also got a bargain on an old insulation tester, not too different to yours - top brand, analogue, portable*, probably last another century....

*Caution: discharge before handling. Remove valves before retracting insulators. Keep oilfilled transformers upright. Control panel not shown, approx total weight 2cwt.
