Charging £250 for G83 annex 2 application

We have had to do a G83 annex 2 pre-install notification for a 4kWp system with Scottish and Southern. They have written back to us saying that we may go ahead but want £250.00 plus VAT for the investigation. They will not let us proceed without paymnent!

Anybody else been charged for this?

We do not pay it to other DNO's

what investigation??? in my experience it has been a case of senior engineer saying yes! now they got that fed up with applications thay said don't even bother us with anything under 4kW. never been asked for a fee!! i would challenge them! Nicely :0)

Scottish Power no fee as I had to do one for my own property....
