They essentially applied too late.

They obviously didn't realise the amount of money there was to be made.

They should get shot of their CEO. :)
 
Not sure they missed the boat, the ECA own both NICEIC and Elecsa prob more like a conflict of interest. CEO is a very switched on guy if you pardon the pun.

ECA has 3000 'members' ish, compared to its siblings? CEO's , shareholders, creditors. All a bit of corporate money making cauldron.

My understanding is that Elecsa is the ECA’s Part P scheme.
NICEIC and NAPIT just added Part P to their main brand.
 
Elecsa was the electrical certification arm of the Glass and Glazing Federation. The ECA acquired this in 2007/8 when the GGA decided to streamline and thus gave the ECA a door into Part P.
