Hi all did a board change today, tested before fitting new 17th board and was getting a Ze of 68.3

High 60s on my ring finals etc......

Now with Rcd protection the maxium permitted Zs is 1667 but anything above 200ohms should be investigated.

The problem is defiantly external, I isolated the supply and pulled the 1361 and tested as close to the suppliers line and onto the earth of the tnc-s system.

Thats where I was getting the high 60ohms reading. Obviously there was no power getting through into the domestic side so I disconnected the gas and water bonding also to make sure that the main earth hadnt disconnected an we were picking up some sort of earth from the gas or water. Again I was on high 60s

Popped next door (own empty property next door also) and was getting 0.13ohms.

The 68.3ohms Ze and high 60s zs's still conform according to the regs but i know in my head there is a problem externally, has anyone experienced this? What did you do?

DNO are obliged to maintain PME earthing at <0.35 ohms. get on the phone to their emergency dept.

Right then I have called supplier they are coming out. Be sometime between 7pm & like 4pm tomoz!!lol!!
yep...we`v had dealings with the DNO
on various occasions over distributers earth....with differing results/responses....some opps were ok....then there was this right obnoxious cow n all....
