Stick another 10.0 in for the terminal if it fits.Tails in swa out
Yes I think that is the only option, it’s a lot of extra faff and the switches are not cheapCould you just take the 16mm CPC to a crimp lug bolted to the SWA's banjo and, assuming 3C SWA, also put a lug on the cable's SWA conductor to the same bolt?
i.e. Ignore the switch's through-CPC connection and the box's terminal strip completely.
EDIT: Also you could use a nylock nut if concerned about it coming loose.
No only takes a 10 mmStick another 10.0 in for the terminal if it fits.
Sorry I ment only takes a 16mmNo only takes a 10 mm
Could you knock the existing small terminal block off the box and fix something like this in its place with a pair of machine screws:Yes I think that is the only option, it’s a lot of extra faff and the switches are not cheap
What size cpc should I earth banjo with?Sorry I ment only takes a 16mm
Depends on the fuse I guess. The On-Site Guide table B4 & B5 has smallest CPCs meeting adiabatic limit for fuse and Zs cases. What size cpc should I earth banjo with?
So this separate terminal will take a 16.0?Sorry I ment only takes a 16mm
That’s a good option it’s a shame I have fifteen to do of theseCould you knock the existing small terminal block off the box and fix something like this in its place with a pair of machine screws:

You might need to have nuts on top and use countersunk heads coming through from the back to is fixes flush though.
It will be a 80amp hrs, have seperate cpc so not relying on the armouredDepends on the fuse I guess. The On-Site Guide table B5 has smallest CPCs meeting adiabatic limit for fuse and Zs cases.
Sorry no on the switch L and N will take up to 35mm and earth takes 16mm maxSo this separate terminal will take a 16.0?
What size cpc should I earth banjo with?
No it take a 16mm only and my cpc is 16mmIf it takes10.0 then put a 10.0 into it along with the banjo cpc.
This is totally confusing I assume from what you say the separate terminal does not take 16.0?No it take a 16mm only and my cpc is 16mm
The main earth terminal which is part of the main switch takes a 16mm cpc max, there is a small earth block which will take a 6mm max hope that explainsThis is totally confusing I assume from what you say the separate terminal does not take 16.0?
Could it be fixed physically with one of the box fixing screws, then a 6mm jumper to the box's terminals? Or maybe better just a 10mm jumper to lug on piranha / Earthing nut as quicker than banjo, etc? That’s a good option it’s a shame I have fifteen to do of these
I will get over with unnecessary work as the switch fuse by wylex is very poorly designedCould it be fixed physically with one of the box fixing screws, then a 6mm jumper to the box's terminals? Or maybe better just a 10mm jumper to lug on piranha / Earthing nut as quicker than banjo, etc?
i still think there are a lot of these installed where the installer thinks the cpc connection is common to the enclosureCould it be fixed physically with one of the box fixing screws, then a 6mm jumper to the box's terminals? Or maybe better just a 10mm jumper to lug on piranha / Earthing nut as quicker than banjo, etc?
Yes but if it’s 100amp supply and both 16mm earth connections are used there is no where to get another earth bond fromIt really is a terrible design putting in such a small separate terminal however Wylex may have calculated the worst scenario for fault protection and that a 6.0 would satisfy. I would email them.
