Most DNO these days require either a copy of an EIC for a new installation or a PIR on an existing installation before they will connect or re-connect a supply.

If this is your case of a supply connection, obviously you can't do a full set of tests becasue there is no supply, so you would do your 'DEAD' tests and supply EDF this. This will have your continuity of protective conductors, Ring final tests if you have ring finals, IR, R1+R2 and polarity.

Once the supply as been connected you can then do the 'LIVE' tests and issue the completed certificates to whoever ordered the work as you would do normally.
