:eek:Spoke to a work colleague today, who had niceic annual inspection visit, while he was chatting with the inspector the topic of said electrium circuit breakers came up,apparently there have been a fair few minor fires due to overheating, due to ones made between april 2009 and february 2010,now i think that i like some of you probably fiited some or many in that time, cant recall without digging out eic records, but question is has it been in the national press?you would think that this should be a matter of urgency as far as im concerned,i would not want to start a panick, but are people(consumers)aware of it?if not why?its all good putting it on the trade counter but what good is that unless sparky takes the time to investigate himself?manufacturer is waiting on a time bomb as far as im concerned, anyone else agree.

think there has been ads in the press. wholesalers have ads too. you get £75 a site for going back to rectify but if you are like me and are unsure exactly which sites you have fitted these items on they want you to revisit free of charge and then supply a list of affected sites.

if i get a spare day that may be an option

Well firm i work for were unwilling to even investigate,so i will insist i look through last 12 months and make a lst,if they get paid for doing it,then it should be treated as a matter of safety and quality

do you record the board type on your certs then

the only way i could tell you for definite would be to revisit the sites and theres far too many for that to be a foc option
