From tomorrow the £6000 available via GDHIF is to be cut to £4000.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/...und-reaches-50-million-milestone-in-six-weeks

From Friday 25th July, Green Deal Home Improvement Fund domestic energy customers can get:

up to £1000 for installing two measures from an approved list; and/or
up to £4000 for installing solid wall insulation; and
up to £100 refunded for their Green Deal Assessment

The Green Deal Home Improvement Fund also entitles those who have bought a property in the 12 months prior to application to qualify for up to an additional £500 if they carry out recommended energy efficiency improvements under the scheme. In December 2013, the government announced a £540 million three year energy efficiency package with at least £120 million available for energy efficiency schemes from April 2015.

Hi TedM, it's worse than that - it's now closed

"The Green Deal Home Improvement Fund closed for applications at 6:30pm on Thursday 24 July"

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/applications-to-the-green-deal-home-improvement-fund-close

How can anyone build and plan and manage a business when the government can't manage a budget?

The implication is that after the announcement on the 22nd, within less than 48 hours, they committed an additional £70m so consuming the budget.

Here are the figures:

They announce the reduction and 44% of all the applications come in less than 2 days.

This is worse that the FiT cut fiasco of November 2011.
