Hi everyone

in short I’m a qualified electrician I have approved JIB status, C&G 2360 1&2, NVQ 3, 2391 testing and inspection and 17th edition wiring regs (soon to be 18th)

ive taken a few years off due to ill health but now want to get back into things, my old firm was niceic so I never had to get registered anywhere so not sure of the process.

I want to be able to...
Certificate my own tests,
Carry out consumer unit changes & adding circuits etc,
Be able to notify the local authorities with part P.

does anybody know the most straightforward and cost effective way of achieving this??

thanks in advance

think niceic do domestic installer status cheaper than approved contractor. all depends if you want to stick to domestic. niceic AC carries more weight with major organisations that may stipulate that. e.g. councils.
