Ok i don't expect a exact amount but i have a factory installation last periodic completed 4/2008 but a lot of additional bits and bobs have been added.
It consists of 4 Distribution boards all 3 phase and 2 are 24 ways and 2 are 36 ways,also additional boards to control storage heaters for common services and factory workshops with up to another 6 dist boards to do again ranging from 12 to 24 ways.Initially only interested in doing the first 4.
Looked at previous reports and a lot has changed and also a lot has been misidentified with feeds going off to some old busbars which in turn feed an old fuse rewireable fuse board.Its so old it has strips of asbestos in the fuse holders ! nothing mentioned on any previous PIR,s.
Supply is TN-C-S to one main board and other meter heads have 25mm earth cable attached to main cable outer sheath,so TN-S.Is is unusual to have different earthing arrangements on the same site ?
One board has always been missed for some reason but the owner did not seem that bothered when i could not find any history on it all ,to my surprise.
I am trying to judge how long it will take as many circuits are just listed as power or lights ,no great detail as to the exact room or service they control.
When you look at the dist boards you can see why as on average only about 50 % are identified as to what the all control.
I have worked there for a while and at least anything i have altered or added has always been noted.
Testing will all have be completed at the weekends as offices occupied during the working week obviously.
Blimey the thought of doing all those IR tests and damaging pieces of equipment is making me think twice,but its loads of work.
There's no RCD and RCBO' at all.
Appreciate no 2 installs are the same but a good base to start from would be ?
