Discuss How to open a di log dL9118 in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net
Hello,
Has anyone had any experience opening up a di-log dl9118? I can get the battery cover off, can remove the yellow rubber sleeve and undo the 4 screws underneath but the device still won’t come apart. Has anyone done this before?
Cheers.
No don’t think so, think it’s just the 4 screws under the sleeve. It looks like it should come apart but there is a lot of resistance and I don’t want to break any internals. Are there any hidden screws under any labels?

Will have another look, was driving me nuts. Had a google search and couldn’t find any Dilog tear downs or disassembly videos. CheersMight be one of those things that has hidden plastic clips. Hate that sort of thing. Have you tried a Google search?
Managed to get it open, it just needed a little force ( there is a ribbon cable though to be cautious of).
Ouch, heartbreaking. It can be fixed with some patience and a lot of jumper wires to replace those tracks and some UV curing epoxy.Difficult clips and short ribbon cables is how I destroyed this, thank goodness it was my own equipment.
