While fitting a Howden's oven on Friday,I came across the lead with a sticker attached that said "Do not fit plug" .The documentation said that it had to be fitted to a switched spur.
The oven is 2.3kw and the flex was 1.5mm.
Other than Howden's saying don't fit a plug,is there any regulation that forbids this?
2.3kw is well within the scope of a 13 amp plug and pulling the plug out gives full means of isolation so i cannot see why they have stated this.
